What is Rigid Flex PCB
Rigid-flex PCBs are complex boards using a combination of rigid PCB and flexible PCB technologies. The inner layers of the rigid-flex PCB's rigid section are flex, and the board's rigid section and flex section are electrically interconnected. The entire flex layers are laminated first, next, the rigid layers are laminated externally (the rigid part of the flex section is without circuits), and then the rigid FR4 is removed from the flex section to create the rigid flex PCB.

Asymmetrical rigid flex PCB construction - the board is manufactured with outward asymmetrical flex layers. Capability is from 2R+1F to 24R+6F.
HDI multilayer rigid flex PCB construction - the board's rigid section is with blind/buried mirovias. HDI capability is 4+N+4.
